Hey there!
I'm a young apprentice in my 3rd year of the occupation ( is this the right word?) that's called metalworker ovre here in Switzerland. Although welding is an important Thing in my job, I think I can't really call myself a welder, since we do a lot of other stuff. I'm here because I'm personally intersted in welding, not just because of my job.
If you find any english mistakes in my Posts, tell me about them ;)

Occupation is okay we know what you mean, most welders do a lot of "other" stuff too, you'll need those skills. Don't hesitate to post and ask questions in the appropriate forum.

Also welcome is photos of your work.

I see no mistakes in your English, just two typographical errors, both of which are better than average for those of us who use English as our first language. ;)

You say, "...from the other side," but we have members from all around the world, including some in your time zone.
