Hi! My name is Jocke, i live in the north of Sweden. Today it´s really cold outside, -28 celsius.
I´ve been welding stick and MIG for a while and i´m now learning how to use TIG machines.
I think i have seen all of Jodys TIG welding videos on youtube, and i feel that i have learned a lot from them.
I´m setting up a new welding area in my old garage and i plan to post pictures of that in this forum later on.
If anyone have any ideas, feel free to comment the pictures.

Welcome to the forum Jocke.
I hear when it reaches -28C you Swedes start wearing long sleeved shirts.
Seriously though I for one would like to hear about the problems and tricks encountered when welding in very cold temperatures. So I will be watching with interest for your posts as you progress.
Cheers
Vic

Flat out like a lizard drinkin'
Welcome fellow viking
Kemppi do good machines and I've only heard good about the Stahlwerk.
Interested to hear your opunion about the Pela cutter. Even though I live 15 mins from their shop I've never, nor know anyone, used "their brand" of welding gear.

We have a saying when it gets cold.. At least there are no mosquitos today:P
I see guys at work who are welding outside in these temperatures, they always use preheat either by OA just to get some heat in to the objekt, or some kind of electrical pads who need more power than my entire house..Those guys are welding booms and buckets of P&H shovels (1500 metric ton)
I never work with machines that big, i´m a mechanic who mosty repair cat D10:s, 980:s and such.
And i almost never weld at work but when i do, the machines are small enough to get inside the shop.

Hej!
I really like the Kemppi machines, nice quality, easy to read panels and they can take a beating:)
I´m really pleased with the plasmacutter, i even took it to work for a projekt i had.. Used it for a couple of days with no problems at all.
I have other Pela stuff to, i have a dieselheater, enginelift, even a Pela 4,5ton carlift.. they all work well and another positive thing is that you can get spareparts to everything you buy there
