Good day Folks, I'm an "FNG" to welding and am trying to get some good information. Awhile ago I bought a used miller 302 and I wanted to learn about welding. I have been taking some welding classes at the local college, only one of the instructors has welding experience, and that's cause he just graduated the course. Nonetheless, I buy fifty pound tins of rod and I practice, watch and study everything I can,and practice more. I bought a miller 211 and have burnt several 11lbs spools through it (Both solid and flux cord wire) and am ok with it. I want to start learning to tig, I have come across this equipment offer and would some experienced feedback. Some conversation from the person selling the equipment.

Hey,
I just watched it and nothing really surprised me. I get what your saying .All these little things are how they cost the cost 50%. There are two sides to every coin he did have it for a long time and I also have seen many big names like Miller , Lincoln machines what we used to call " self destruct" very early on. Fact is you just never know !
Hey you ever thought of a using a hi-freq. box like an miller HF-251-D1 on your 302?

"I can make xmas package for you
1 pre owned genuine Miller HF 251 box
1 brand new USA made 17 series flex head 2 piece torch 25'
1 pre owned tested genuine Miller rfcs-14 foot control
For about 750 plus shipping to get to you!"

Thanks in advance
Bryant

I suggest you check out Craigslist. A patient person can find a Dialarc 250HF with cooler for that price. Syncrowaves are a little more. Going component is OK for well informed people with knowledge to put it together. I don't think you'll have much of a machine with that package.
