i call myself a newbi because ive been welding with a "boat anchor" for several years and have never been very satisfied with my results. well finally sold the boat anchor and got a hobart handler 190. not the top but much better than i had. i am retired and mostly tinker around. have for the last 10 years or so made copper sculptures and sold them in a shop in nashville, in. ( tourist spot). got tired of that because TOO many duplicates. excited to try my new welder out, got it set up and ready but today my wife wants us to go get a hair cut so no welding today. plan to focus on knife making for now. i am building a 2 x 72 belt grinder using wayne coes plans for the moe's grinder. im at the point where i weld but want to practice some first. very much a fan of jody's youtube videos.
