Hello.
As suggested a few words of introduction. I have been trying to weld on and off for at least 20 years in some form or another. The main job is in radio communications and to keep my sanity anything metalwork/machinery etc is of a major interest. I have gone through some of the cheap MIG sets such as Clarke, SIP etc and even the very cheap buzz boxes until I recently bought a couple of UK based inverter sets for TIG/Arc and MIG.

Have managed to complete a few projects, the main one being a kit car that has been on the road now since late 2009 early 2010.

I am presently attending a local college one night a week to gain knowledge in MMA/Stick welding as I do find that the most difficult to do consistently, and I have never really done much off the flat so doing vertical etc is a challenge.

I will not be seeking employment in the welding game as late 50's means it is very unlikely. But to have quality in my welds should mean what I put together stays together.

On the forum, hope I can add something of use some time and look forward to gaining more knowledge, see you around!

Adrian
