Hello all.

I'm Bow from Yuma, AZ

I am a very amateur welder, using a Hobart Handler 135 (that I purchased new in 2001), and just bit the bullet and put a tack on it.

I am learning as I go, but the Welding Tips and Tricks You Tube Video and Setup Chart has helped me a Boatload!

I am building a Cycle Kart (Adult, 6.5HP powered Go Kart that is styled as a '20's Era Racer) and tonight, I finally got "THAT" sound, thanks to that setup chart :D

Anyway, happy to be here.

Bow,
Welcome to the forum.

There in lies the beauty of this forum, you can post your welds here without fear of being beat over the head for not knowing how. This forum is a place that's willing to share what we know with people like you who are seeking knowledge.
We learn from each others trials and successes, and more importantly, we learn from researching answers to problems that we haven't seen before. This is a quite unique, self governed, pool of collective knowledge, with no room for ego or bashing. Doesn't happen here, we don't let it.

Feel free to ask any question that you have. It works best if you add as much information as possible and we'll deep drill it until we find an answer. We want to know the answer as much or more than the person asking, that's how we are.

But that's the point, exactly!

There are hundreds here just starting out (most read quietly).

No one here will laugh, nor mock. We've all been there, and would rather help you do it better than laugh at your pain. As each one of us improves, so improves the forum.

Facebook, this ain't.

Welcome, Bow!

I've been doing this stuff for around 16 years and I still make fairly noobish mistakes. Don't stress, it's all cool.
