HI guys.

I'm 61 retired with a bad back.
I broke it 45 years ago now it's not very good.
I have a machine shop and do repairs that I can handle.

I bought a early everlast welder 200super p and ended
up with a wse200p that also quit welding on ac so I'm
looking to get it repaired. Jody said he had one so maybe
he or one of you guy's knows who might fix it.

The other question I have is. I have a miller econo twin AC/DC
welder which has high frequency for tig welding. It does weld
aluminum but it's difficult. I was wondering if I switched to
helium it would weld aluminum better.

Welcome, Scott,

Helium will help that machine to do aluminum, but you'll want a mix. 25% He/75% Ar to no more than 50/50.

It does make a real difference, as I've done it.

I have unlimited access to helium, so if I have a heavy section I'll put together my own mixing valve, so I can assure you this is not mythology. It's a bit like have an extra 50-75 amps in the machine at the ranges I work with.
