Justin Walker "JW" here in Georgetown, Tx. Have been welding since I was 12 just not continually. Still need to get certs, but was able to pic up a Lincoln SA 200 pipeliner last year. Have lots of questions and looking to make some good conections in the welding industry.
Thanks

Welcome, Justin,

Many jobs will "qualify" to a weld test. It's not the same as a certification, as the CWI has to sign off on your work, but it works the same in that one place.

I didn't get my first "real" certification until I was 43, when I had to pass an ASME IX test for pressure vessel repair, and that one was paid for by my employer.
