This forum is a great adjunct to a welding education. If your instructor's answer doesn't make sense, bring it here. You may get 12 opinions from 10 people, but there's an answer in there somewhere that will work for you. We have several instructors, and a membership that stretches from people doing what you're doing to people who've been doing it for 30 years or more.
