Hello,

I live on the North Dakota border.

I received a one-year welding certificate. One of the certs I received while there was the AWS D1.08 6G Vee-Groove, Open Root 8 inch Schedule 80 uphill 6010/7018.

I spent the last 3.5 years as a wirefeed welder with agricultural equipment - do not want to do that again - am looking to certify with the main three tests for pipeline welders.

- branch saddle
- 12 inch 6G butt
- 6 inch sleeve water jacket

Which part of the forum should I post so I can possibly get links/pictures for the first and third test? And maybe - possibly (impossibly) - a WPS for each?

Paul

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it.

Welcome, Paul,

I'd think the SMAW/Stick welding forum would be the first place to post questions on those tests, as that's where the pipehands who do stick will look first.

Be patient... we're not as active a forum as many others, but you'll get well-reasoned answers and no grief, as you might with some of the others...
