Greetings from the snowy hills of Colorado.
I'm an old guy who has been puttering with welding off and on for several decades.
I have a Lincoln TIG welder that I really like. Well, until I played with a new Miller Dynasty 200 with the wireless foot pedal. However, I'll stick (ha-ha, never used it for stick) with my Lincoln. I did a lot of TIG welding on my helicopter airframe and on aftermarket drag bike frame.
I was building a helicopter designed around an Allison turbine. One day my wife told me if I wanted to finish my helicopter, I'd have to get a full time job. I said let me give that some serious though, no thanks. So I had to sell my beloved Allison turbine and now I'm building a street rod which I can do without having to even work part time. I built the frame and all the brackets are CNC Machined, most are surface ground and than TIG'ed in place. I use mostly 4130 tubing for the round items like suspension and misc. bits.
Thanks,
Doug

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Hey Fat Bob,
Yup, I was at Bandimere off and on for several years. Mike Berry got me into racing bikes as I had a Suzuki GS1100 that looked a little like his only several seconds slower.
I then stepped up to a TracDynamics frame and bigger motor and went into Pro-Bike at Bandimere. I quit when they combined the bike class with the car class as they never did like bikes anyway.
Now I building a '27ish roadster and shooting for a completion date of Y3K.
Thanks for the welcomes,
Doug
