Eric in Sf ,

Been welding for about 10 years after taking classes at local college on welding , I took every class I could take on the subject of welding and metal trades ( Machine shop) but I came to a point where the school was a great starting point but they had very limited resources .

I am looking to learn more about pipe welding

Welcome, Eric,

We can't "show" you how we each do it (and no two do it alike),

But you can ask anything here, and expect a reasonable answer.

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it.

Welcome to our little corner of the internet Eric.

Have you seen Jody's weekly videos? One he did last week was 6G Pipe with 6010. Just the root pass last week. I think he said 7018 for the cap, maybe this week. His videos are always very informative. Archive link at the top of any page.
Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
