Welcome, Carlo,
Don't worry about your skills in English. I know people for whom English is their only language who are harder to understand.
Again, Benvenuti!

U.S. is ANSI and Europe is UNI but Citoflex (6010) is standard, many use a citoflex , but now in a raffinery prefer a tig 1° pass and 2° & final pass 7018 or PH35 SAlexa wrote:Italianwelder.
Welcome.
Please comment.
Probably the welding codes are a little different in Europe than other places across the globe.
Do you do any cellulose rod (6010 etc.) downhill on the pipelines?
Tanks.

This mode (downhill) is not accept here 1°st pass 6010 upright and 2° et 3° pass only basic electrode, here call this mode of weld (downhill) "american mode". All refinery (ENI, Snam etc...) in europe is not legal, PH35 S is a good basic electrode make from Philips is many workable,Esab for pipe is too hard is good for Steel construction ( for my personally) Lincoln i a good for all employ, here i use Oerlikon electrode Oerlikon make a PH 35 S basic electrodeAlexa wrote:Italianwelder.
Is that citoflex (6010)for the root pass ever used downhill (welding from top to bottom)?
How does that PH35-S rod weld compared to other major brands (for example like Lincoln, Esab, Kobe, etc.)?
Tanks.
