Hello , I am not a beginner, but nowhere near a pro. I have been structurally certified before, but have not welding in awhile. I bought a v275-s (11446) welder. I am running on 220 v single phase. I am using 1/8 7018. I have welded with this machine for about 2 months with no issues. It start burning very hot and had no control over the temperature. I move all setting around and it still burn hot. (Hot enough that it melts my rod after about 2-3 seconds of welding and burns thru my metal. I have shut it off for an hour or so and then it works good. Now it will only burn hot. Any help would be great. I checked the hot start switch and it is good. I checked the resistance on the temperature switch and it is changing as it should. Thanks
