Greetings and Salutations.

I started a thread last night, but it's still awaiting moderator approval before being seen by the general public.

I'm still trying to find an adapter for a welding machine. The Miller machines use a NEMA 6-50P plug, but my only available 240V receptacle is a NEMA 10-30R. After calling all over town and searching the far corners of internet, I finally found one on Amazon. But I'm concerned it's too light duty. Here is the Amazon link:

It looks like I am in moderator limbo myself. It has been a few weeks.

I was at Menards yesterday and a lady was looking for the same thing for her husband. I told here the best thing was to make one. Didn't even know Amazon had them. BTW both look strong enough, as long as welder is under 30 amps. (Breaker should protect that.) Next thing would be to get an extension cord. Those cannot be too cheap. Might save a couple bucks and put the dryer plug on the end of the extension cord. Unless you are welding in the laundry room.
