Hi Seta here from San Mateo California.
years with a Lincoln 140 exclusive on flux for jeep trail repairs (hack jobs but hey, better than JB weld)... I have been watching for years (drooling actually) of Mr. Jody's tips and tricks... well now I bit the bullet and got another red machine SW Tig 200... now I am a regular at the local surplus metal supply ( you can't mention the word "scrap" here...)
going through coupons in SS and trying to learn... one issue is the pedal... boy I know now why I was never able to learn how to play the drums...looking forward to learn more to qualify as a weekend garage rambo one day... my respects to all that call this as their career and thanks in advance.
Seta

For those that are old (like me) or who don't care for that kind of music:cj737 wrote:Don't learn on stainless steel. Use carbon steel. Its much more forgiving. Stainless sucks up the heat immediately and you had better be Stewart Copeland with the pedal if you're learning.
Stewart Armstrong Copeland (born July 16, 1952) is an American musician and composer. He was drummer for the rock band The Police, has produced film and video game soundtracks and written various pieces of music for ballet, opera and orchestra. According to MusicRadar, Copeland's "distinctive drum sound and uniqueness of style has made him one of the most popular drummers to ever get behind a drumset".[1]
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Police in 2003, the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2005, and the Classic Drummer Hall of Fame in 2013.[2][3][4] In 2016, Copeland was ranked 10th on Rolling
