Welding Tips and Tricks

I need this part (or perhaps the capacitor thing on it) or equivalent part that would work with our old Multiquip ACX-170S welder. Im assuming its an AVR. I've scoured the internet but can't find the part anywhere. The welder came from where dad works and it was something like, the generator would run but it would not make an Arc and that part was the issue from what I was told. Any help would be awesome.
