docs, certs, and specs

Just wondering if anybody has any idea where I can get copies of everything related to metal, welding, and metal fab? I'm really green, looking to learn all about alloys, metallurgy, weld specs, processes, etc. I know it sounds cocky and I don't mean it cocky, but I want to be the best and know the most. The way I see it, if I know a lot about metals, tools, etc., it will make me a better welder, so I am trying to learn everything I can. Gonna make me a little Texas library of metalwork, I guess.

I'd suggest you repost this under the "welding certifications, etc" heading to get more results
The "wish list" is more of a "what we'd like Jody to video next" thing, though it's not that clear in the description, I suppose.
Thanks to Mick, I can offer you a 10+ year old copy of ASME section IX on PDF, if you'll PM me your e-mail address.

Nathan.
Welding information is very availability across the internet.
As each year passes, there is less and less need of the textbooks.
So you will be able to construct yourself a virtual library and carry it with you on a memory stick.
There are many approaches to learning welding technology.
One of them is to start as soon as possible understanding what goes into making a welding procedure.
Reading that one or two pages that make up a procedure gives a big boost in understanding how the welding variables fit together.
Here is one example of a welding procedure format:

Enjoy welding.
