I'm seeing several job postings asking for 5g Mig root/Fluxcore out. Some are saying on a positioner as well.
I've just never seen a video like this and wondering what it would be and how to do it.

That kind of flux core is likely a dual shield variety were they run flux core wire and a shielding gas. That part of the proscess is generally pretty hot so they put a root in with regular mig to keep it from burning through.
