Welding Tips and Tricks

I see guys on instagram making really cool stuff by welding beads on plate.
thats not my thing, but I wanted to at least give it a shot

anyone do stuff like this?

I think it looks good. I have been watching others on Instagram do this art as well and wished I could do it. Maybe you inspired me to give it a shot.

Jody - in your video you talk about an "air scriber" - not a term I've seen before. Is this a rotary or reciprocating or ??? device?

And if you wanted bold colors on aluminum plate, what welding filler would you use?

Weldporn usually credits the welder in the title, in this case the fish is by Bushy_The_Pleco and the lizard by Moreynurman. The only problem I see with the fish is the fact that his scales are facing the wrong way.

Great job on the Batman (Joey did a fine job drawing it also). Some of the ones I've seen on Instagram are very impressive.

Look in the upper left hand side of the screen shot and you'll see who's work it is along with the weldporn logo.

I'll bet that fish is a bottom feeder with that plate welded to his belly.
