TiG finger question

I was considering buying a tig finger from jody but I don't tig. I usually run wire. I can see it useful for Some out-of-position work. does anyone else use the tig finger for welding other processes? I want to purchase a tig rig this summer sometime. so I can tell the wife that's why I bought it..

I use one when you free hand in the field. On fitting when the pipe or fitting gets to hot.

Agree..on long runs, gloves alone cannot handle the heat..tig finger glides smoothly in metal resulting no pause and consistent welds..

I use mine as well to help block heat or prop on for all processes...worthy small investment.

I've even used mine while washing welds off with a plasma cutter... That's a lot of heat build-up fast, and I'm already using heavy gloves, but the Tigfinger XL fits on the pinky of the heaviest gloves.
