Question on using portable gen on PowerTig210

I have a new (Dec2015) PowerTig 210 and was wondering if anyone has used the everlast inverters on a portable generator. My generator meets the continuos 7kw requirement when running 240 volt, but I can't find anything on the cleanliness of the voltage. The Everlast page says their new inverter welders have, and I quote, "POWER FACTOR CORRECTION: A welcome addion to our digital series, Power Factor Correction is used to help stabilize less than stellar input current, on power that may be “dirty”. This helps to prevent unit failure or over loading when the power is supplied to the unit is coming from a generator or other sort of non grid power. The PFC is greater than 99% so that the arc is extremely stable." So this sounds like the new units can be run on them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
