Was trying out a new blu Ray player with streaming on it tonight and put Jody's welding videos on the living room tv. The 3yr old boy and 5yr old girl started watching and wanted to watch more of them. The 5 yr old thought it was neat cause now she understands what I see threw the helmet. The 3yr old not sure exactly what drew his attention but he kept wanting to watch more of them. We watched 2hours of welding videos tonight. So looks like Jody has reached out to some young ones and has new fans.
why use standard nozzles after gas lens where invented. Kinda of like starting fires by rubbing sticks together.

You can't get into this business too young. Apparently, practical hands-on starts at about age 6. Check out the video at 16:25 on this YouTube clip. ;)

The next generation IS interested in anything you take the time to show them.

Your six-year-old wants to push the lawn mower or the vacuum cleaner, for God's sake! He or she will help you change the oil in the riding mower or the SUV, if you'll just let them.

Show them something interesting and productive, that they can't run out of things to learn about before they hit 16, and you have a life-long student of something valuable.

Give them the opportunities they need/deserve, and they have found the way to move forward.
How lucky is that little guy. What a great start. Stuff the Xbox or the Nintendo, they won't get you anywhere near...
