Come on! It was leaking, he didn't have a gasket, or the bolts were stuck. He went down to Harbor Freight, bought a gas mig for $82.99, couldn't afford gas, but wanted to get the job done. A guys gotta start somewhere!

Maybe he should be checked for Cerebral Palsy.

Alright, who gave you the photo and threw me under the bus?

I just need a little more practice. Plus, the weld was "out of position". And it held!!! No problem, man.

Actually that's a development piece from a secret new technology designed to allow welding of dirty oily components.
It's closely related to the project to weld wood to cast iron.

If you happen to have 300 hours of spare time, 7,000 American nickels
and the desire to make 35,000 welds, then you can make a nickel couch.

You wouldn't want to leave it out in the sun otherwise you'd have money burning a hole in your pocket.

Actually from the original picture I would conclude that someone tried to weld with a solid wire on a flux core setup or ran out of gas.

Interesting.... Technically the currency belongs to the state and any misuse of the banknotes or the coins is illegal and punishable. For example it is illegal to damage\melt\drill the coin.
Obviously 7000 X $0.05=$350 isn't enough for the Treasury to bother...

You have to give the guy some credit. He had an idea........he laid it all out.........fired up the machine......and finished the job. I am actually impressed and at the same time horrified. LOL!!!!

Pnkflyd,

As much as I appreciate your avatar (the album cover), it's your signature line I like best!
