That's darned impressive. I'm envisioning how that came about... I mean, did someone start with a problem and somehow decide that a bowling ball, disc brakes, and a bottle jack were the solution? Or did he have these things lying about and was challenged to craft them into something useful, like a monthly "odd creations" challenge?

Id say someone saw a ball joint, and realised that it could be turned into a positioner. one of those ev ery day things that ha more uses than first intended.

You know a monthly "odd creations" challenge sounds fun. Anyone up for that?

I'm thinking that came to him in a vision after a night in the old Indian smoke lodge. He definitely was smoking the hoogowl pipe when that thought entered his head. Very creative though, I must say.

Hey,

One thing I would do to it is to cut a slot in the top dics so the rod holding the positioner to the ball to turn 90deg to the side to add more maneuverability.
