I was surprised the other day when my mug welder did not feed the wire. Where would be a good place to look in a safe manor ?

Hey,

If its one that you can take the gun off, bend a peice of mig wire around and use it to contact the two control wire pins. If you do this and the wire feeds and gas comes out, you can assume the issue is somewhere in your gun. If it doesnt, the prob is in the machine. Make sure the fuses( if any ) are not blown.

I have checked the relay closest to the fan and it operates. The drive roller does not turn so I will see if the torch switch is ok. There does not seem to be any welding current when I push the switch.
thanks your your help. I will check some more in the AM. It's been freaken hot and humid the last week.
