Getting into TIG after being overseas for a decade and not doing that much before I left...

Any good recommendations on good places to grab rod & other supplies online? I haven't been able to Google up anybody online carying the Hastelloy W that has been recommended.

weldwarehouse.com usually has the best prices, but they have a somewhat limited selection and it will take you 2 hours find anything on their site. weldingsupply.com are the same folks, though, and that website is easier to use, so I usually just get the product # from weldingsupply. they're in Illinois, so the shipping might not be ideal, though.

weldwarehouse also has some crazy deals on tong vise grips, particularly the long ones.

For mail order welding supplies like tungstens, collets, filler rod, etc (maybe not the hastelloy W though ;) ) I really like HTP welding. They will be happy to send you a catalog. You can call them and they will just pick up the phone, no automated menu. They have provided me with good service on my consumable purchases. They have no problem with small orders and are happy to sell you just one or two of one type of tungsten, so you can try lanthanated vs ceriated, etc.

They are also on EBay as "usaweld"
