InstaGram seems to be more popular with a lot of the maker crowd, which he seems to be involved with.cab wrote:Thanks ,I have not seen any posts to his Youtube site in 11 months .
something I has no idea about until I started to make some myself.LtBadd wrote:shooting and editing video takes a lot of time
You hit the nail on the head Richard. This is exactly why, and I don't post too many videos myself. I have done it in the past and pioneered some online videos when I was at Sun Microsystems, but haven't taken the time to do so for my hobbies. I have some short ones but I don't spend too much time editing them. More so since I use Linux mostly there is not a lot of good editing software available. I mainly use kino, open source software for video editing. In the past I used a Mac, and what I would recommend to people. A Mac is just easier for doing that type of creative stuff.LtBadd wrote:shooting and editing video takes a lot of time, IG can be as quick as take a photo or video and upload directly to IG, just a guess on my part as to why he may not be doing YT anymore
Yup! I do video editing for the other, non-welding/fab side of my business and it is time consuming indeed. That's why I always laugh at some of the comments you see on YT with viewers complaining and nit picking about some aspects of the videos or complaining about how the content creators are making them. Sometimes even trying to demand a re-upload. Those complainers haven't a clue!Oscar wrote:something I has no idea about until I started to make some myself.LtBadd wrote:shooting and editing video takes a lot of time
