All your clothes have pinhead sized burn holes in them, because it's not worth getting changed just to do that 'quick' weld

I wore out my good tig gloves pulling red hot tungsten out of the torch to resharpen (back when I used to dip)

You might be a welder if your wife pulls out an aluminum block out of the oven on thanksgiving.

...You know a lot more about grounding than most people due to the fact you stuck your filler rod to your tungsten and had your bare sweaty arms on the steel welding table.

when you go to a park and inspect the welds

...when you flick your head when you walk into the sun.

You can tell the difference in smell between burning cotton, burning leather, burning skin, burning hair, burning boot sole, burning boot laces, burning ground cable, 6010, 7018, burning paint, burning ..... all with your eyes closed.

You critically inspect every weld you see everywhere you go day or night.

Oh hell I do this everywhere I go. It actually holds us up on family outings and I do it so much that my whole family knows why I've stopped and am staring at that handrail, pipe, playgym, whatever. Much eye rolling.

But the one I really relate to is "You know you're a welder when your clothes are on fire but you finish the bead before putting them out!" I have honestly done this at least three times during my short welding career.

...you wish you had one more machine/tool/clamp...etc.

You've ever said "Hey (insert friends/ coworkers name), look, I'm on fire!"

...yo have an entire rolling toolbox with only clamps

.... you have a different angle grinder for every type of zip disk, grinding disk, wire brush, flap disk, diamond disk, paint stripping disk you own.

.... and you have odd patches of skin about that no longer grow hair
