Sven and Ole are dragging deer out of the woods, when a voice from a tree stand above them says, "Ya Know, if you drop da hind feets and pull by da antlers, it'll be easier!"

Sven says, "Ole, de man got a point. Lets give it a try." So they grab by the antlers and pull. Five minutes later, Ole says, "Sven, dat was one smart feller in da tree back dere. Dis shore is easier!". Sven says, "Yah, you right, but, Ole, ve's Gettin furder and furder from da truck!"

Many of my wife's relatives are Norwegians. From my perspective Norway is a country where a defective gene deprives them all of a sense of humor. It's OK they don't find elephant jokes funny, do they have to be offended?

Boudreaux and Thibideaux are finalists for a management position at the Wal-Mart.

Boss says, "You're so evenly matched, I'll have to give you a test to make a decision."

Ten questions later the boss announces, "You scored exactly the same, but I'm giving the job to Boudreaux."

Thibideaux protests, "But with the same score, how can you choose him over me?"

Boss explains, "It's all about question eight. Boudreaux wrote, 'I don't know.' ...
You wrote, 'Me neither'..."

My father in law lived three miles away, came for dinner every day, he spoke in a heavy accent. Though he lived here 70 years, I believe he thought in Norwegian, then translated.
My favorite Norwegian story is:
The phone rang, I answered, the voice on the other end: Who's this?
I: Who did you call?
Olaf: I called Nancy! (now he's getting agitated)
I: She's not here right now.
Olaf: Who's this?
I: Who did you call?
Olaf: Oh, I know who you are. You're A..........., Ah........., Ah............,Ah....... you're that fellow who lives there.
I: That would be me.

After seeing the man daily for 15 years, 11 of them married to his daughter, he didn't know my name! He eventually, (years later), exhibited the symptoms of Alzheimer's. I always said we'd have no way to tell. What would change? Of his family he was the most functional.

I think if you need welders to get into that sort of position either the job needs a re-think - or you should train women to weld - that is just wrong for a guy !!

Makes me think of the two old men sitting at the park. They observe a Great Dane, licking himself with obvious gusto.

One old man says, "I sure wish I could do that!"

The other old man says, "Maybe if you pet him first???"

Aussie area joke time:

How do you New Zealanders find sheep in the long grass?

Very enjoyable, thanks for asking.
