How is it possible to "work" there?
Looks like play to me.
Looks like play to me.
Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Good one it does look like something off the rock, suppose that makes me the warden . We are very proud of the shop, and work hard to make it look good and keep it clean. Before I landed this gig I worked in the steel mills, power plants, potash mines, and hung iron in the 40 below weather we get up here in the winter. Never regretted a minute of it. 30 years in the trade 20 of it instructing. We have a apprentice program here and I work with the young people getting them ready for their government test witch will make them a journeymen if they pass. The last week they spend with me is a ball buster. They have a 5 hour practical welding test with me then the next day they have a 5 hour welding practical test for the government. The following day they have a 4 hour written with the government. After all of it is said and done the best part for me is being part of a big deal witch will affect the young people for the rest of there lives. When I started I was the young pup now I am the ole school guy funny how that works. I will shoot some more pics of the other half of the shop.

Hello gundog from a busted up ironworker who hit the college education circuit after too many accidents! Steel mills, nuke plants, bridges, Chicago high rises and jobs all over the mid west. Of course working in the 'scorching sun' and 'freezing cold of darkest winter'! Your shop looks great! My shop is still a work in progress.
