I am working on a video showing different welding books. I have the "normal" books such as Metals and How to Weld them, most of the books Lincoln sells and a few odd balls. I figured before I finished videoing I would see what books you would recommend and what you would like to see.

Oh I got a few I can recommend if you don't know of them already, welding and materials related though I have a whole lot more. Can give you more in depth comments on them if you want.

Welding Metallurgy and Weldability - John C. Lippold - link
Covers all sorts of failure mechanisms in welds; cracking, corrosion, fatigue, etc.

Catastrophic Failures of Steel Structures in Industry - B. Hayes and R. Phaal - link
Failure analysis of a number of major weld related incidents.

Welding Handbook - AWS - link
A brilliant tomb..

ASM Handbook - ASM - link
Known as the 'Metals Handbook'.

Materials Science and Engineering - W. D. Callister - link
An introductory text for anyone who doesn't know anything about materials science.
