Hi,
I have two brass or bronze hinges. I want to permanently join them at the end of the leaf. I presume I should braze them. I have a MAP/Air torch. What kind of brazing rod should I use?

So, which are they Brass, or Bronze?
No sense dying with unused welding rod, so light 'em up!

A lot of contemporary "brass" hinges are really just plated steel. Are you sure they are solid brass or bronze?
