Im totally new to this forum thing so i don't know if this is where i should post this, but i have a problem and need some help.

I'm totally new to tig welding and finally saved up to get one and now it wont work. It's a Lincoln Electric TIG 200 square wave, i've had it for about 2 months so i'm sure i'm still covered by the warranty but i just wanted to see if anyone has had this problem..

So yesterday i was welding together a cart for the welder and was setting up to weld on one of the guard rails on the cart and the fan on the welder just stopped, it was still on but there was no fan, no gas flow or arc when i push the pedal, nothing. i have a good ground everything is set up right but the welder just doesn't do anything.

If anyone knows anything about this i would greatly appreciate the help. Thank You.

Did you cycle the power to see if that resolved the power? It sounds like you have a hardware problem since the fan is not operating, but the HF start isn’t initiating either. Time to seek a warranty repair center. It happens....

I’m sure there won’t be. Meanwhile, look in the manual. There should be a troubleshooting section that can point you to a start-up sequence that will give you access to software version of the machine, total arc starts, hours on the machine, and so on. Write that down as Warranty Service will need to know that.

Just happened to me yesterday (7/23/19). No I idea why. Tried Stick and it worked fine with a 6011 rod. Did you ever get a solution?

I ended up calling Lincoln and they had me take it in to be repaired. Hopefully it is not going to be a chronic problem with the unit. I haven't really used it that much since I bought it.
