Dear Colleagues

Got a good deal on a used Kemppi Mastertig 3500W to replace a failing (cheapish) Parweld.
Lots of power, watercooled, no fancy programming.
What more could a welder want?

Well, I'd like a remote control, since I'm mostly welding bronze castings. They tend to show variations in thickness, which makes it a pain in my behind to have to adjust at the machine 50+ times a day...

Can anyone share with us the pinout of the 10-pin Amphenol connector at the front of the older Kemppi machines?
Also, if anyone has a diagram of the old-style C100C remote, that would be a great help. I've been googling this extensively to no avail. The local Kemppi people aren't really helpful either (southern Sweden).

I'd rather not spend EUR 400 on a large clumsy original Kemppi C100C, so my idea is to get a more modern TTC torch used, and adapt it so the potentiometer connects to where the pedal is normally connected. I might have to build a small adapter box to set the range, for example, but this should possible.

I'm probably not the one to answer this but I was interested in the topic so I found this Kemppi 10 pin connector and potentiometer. I'm not sure if it's what you need or if you can get it from them. I'm guessing you just need to know exactly which pin it is for your machine and what potentiometer to use to adapt to the TTC. I thought maybe these sites are selling them exactly but I have no idea.

Yep, these are the exact parts I have ordered for this project.
Just need to know the darned pinout of that 10-pin connector.
Or, reverse engineering: Which three pins are the potmeter connected to in a C100C remote?
Would anyone dare to open either end of their precious remote and take some pictures?

Hi,
I found this post while searching for info to build my own foot pedal (as the C100F goes for rediculous prices overhere also)
Whilst searching the net, I found a PDF with the schematic. I'd think it would be the same for the remote (minus the on/off switch).
No Idea how thrustworthy this is, but it looks legitimate.

Wow, this looks very promising. I'm going to have a look inside the machine to see if the letters are marked on the connector.

I can attest that the schematic works.
I just finished my pedal made out of a Behringer FC600 volume pedal and some bits and bobs.
In the end it probably cost me less than €100,00 in parts and a couple of hours of tinkering.
