Enrollment for new classes for AWS is open at Northshore Tech in Hammond. These are night classes (so it shouldn't interfere too much with day jobs).
The instructor is CWI and CWE certified and a retired welder (25+ years). He's good, patient and loves to share his experience.

Here is the info on the new class:
Starts February 1st.
Four AWS certs via final bend tests (2G, 3G and 4G). Stick, MIG, Dual-shield Flux core and TIG. If there is time, a 6G pipe test will be available.
This is a "Learn at your own pace" class.
Loranger High school shop lab in Loranger, La.
Space is VERY limited.
$499 for all 5 certs.
Class is Mon., Tues.,Wed., Fri. 4-9PM.
