Hi, I'm new to tig welding and interested in a stubby gas lens to suite a Esab 130 caddy welder. Can anyone advise me of the torch number?
Thank you
Post your ideas, suggestions and support issues here.
Look at the side of the torch head. Type is usually molded in the rubber.
Or, check what thread you have on the collet body.
A type 9 or 20 has 5/16"
Type 17, 18 and 26 has 3/8"
Edit, removed pitch and thread type, not sure. Size is correct though.

Hi AndersK
Thank you for responding.
The torch head has SR-9V embossed near the torch head.
I removed the collet and its threaded at both ends. The gas lens collet thread dia appears slightly smaller than the 3/8 by around 100 thou. The other end of the collet that screws into the torch end is slightly smaller than the 5/16 by around 60 thou. Both threads appear to be 24 threads per inch.
Is the size measurement taken from the collet on the gas lens thread or from the collet thread that screws into the head of the torch?
Many thanks
Graeme

The 9 marking says it all, a size 9 torch.
The thread I refered to is the end that goes into the head.
Here is what you need.
You just need to change the gas lens itself and the cup.
Blue numbers are CK part number the red is common for others
