Re: Can someone help identify 308l vs 309l
Maybe the LWS can place the order, although if they don't want to stock it they probably want you to but 10lbs. Ordering online shouldn't be an issue, I would recommend using either Arc-Zone, Cyberweld or IOC. There are others, but I would expect a good experience from these. If you sign up to rece...

Re: Can someone help identify 308l vs 309l
Ya It shouldn't be a problem to return, more of just the hassle and the wait. I have a few lws shops but none that stock .045. This was actually the first time I had bought filler online haha, don't think I'll be doing again after this.

Re: Can someone help identify 308l vs 309l
Ya no stamping on it, probably because it's so small, But it sounds like there's no old timers trick to figuring it out. I appreciate the help though everyone!

Can someone help identify 308l vs 309l
I ordered 2lbs of .045 308l and 309l off Amazon and the seller put them in the same container without marketing either off them. I have both in 1/16 and tried welding all 4 side by side but I still couldn't quit tell the difference. I tried building up a blob to see if one was more magnetized but th...
