So I've started a new job in a big fabrication factory and there's quite a lot of Oxy acetylene rigs all over. I've not had much experience with o/a but I'm confused with the withdrawal rate rules.... We only use the rigs for cutting and they are the biggest cylinders you can get here (320cf) I've b...

Alright mate, nah I'm only trying to master this as I want to take another test. I mainly weld thin gauge box/tube sheet metal. I do heavyer materials too but not as much and it's normally in flat position. I do alot of out of position welding on thin gauge work so getting it right on thicker first ...

I use 0.8mm wire (1/32) argoshield universal (Boc) think it's 12% co2 2% O2 and 86% argon it's recommended for material 4mm too 8mm I believe

The dial on the left and right both work together on any of the terminals, I will have a Lil play again tomorrow morning. Ive used this machine for years but never gave this much thought as to what the difference is. I have a Miller dx 220 with I much prefer Thanks anyways guys

3F vertical up issues
Hi guys, I'm still having some problems with vertical up mig. I use the right techniques (upsidown V) reduce power by 15-20%. The weld pool starts to undercut and crowning about a 3rd of the way up. If I turn it down anymore I feel there's gonna be lack of penetration. It's a bit hit and miss I have...

I have this old machine at work that has three earth terminals on it. I normally have in plugged in to the one marked c. Have tried them all but not sure what the difference is?? Any ideas?

A Chandelier I made a year ago for some show in the west end. Not my best Tig work I have to say, the central Hub is made from Turned EN 1AL shite not nice to weld at all

cup sticking to job on ac and dc
Has anyone had the problem of the cup sticking to the job when walking the cup or sliding it along the join? If so what can be done to stop it?

Check out the other photos on there, made the rolls Royce inspection light rolled stainless 316l with a spun flange on the front edges and micro welded stainless handles £10,000 what my boss charged them that's like $16,000 US!

Bevel your flats and weld butt joins and mabe finish with outside corner? That's how I would tackle it. A good butt join is just as strong as a fillet!
