Quick connect fitting
Was welding yesterday and noticed a leak at my cooler. Turns out the fitting cracked. Any suggestions on where to buy these? First place I checked the part was over $10 and the shipping was $7.95

I am building these shelves for my wife. My next step is to weld the shelf skins on. They are .062 sheet and I have .125 holes every 6 inches for plug welds. My plan is to start on the bottom shelf in the center of the shelf and weld either side. Then move up to the next shelf repeat and so forth. T...

Re: Who runs a filter on there watercooler?
I bought a filter that looks identical to the one pictured above from McMaster for under $10. My thinking is that it's cheap insurance against damaging the $200+ torch. Would you buy chance have the part number for the filter you bought? Thanks I bought part number 98775K414 for $8.33. Thanks! I wi...

Re: Who runs a filter on there watercooler?
If you are running a Procon Series 1 Pump with an integral strainer, the strainer's job is to keep particles big enough to damage the pump out of it. If the pump used doesn't have a strainer, then all you'd need to do is install a t-strainer which is what a lot of the water coolers use. As for the ...

LtBad that is exactly what I was thinking. I started out tacking in the center of the tube on another small project. I found it messed up my rytheme when I was dabbing filler metal in and came to the tack in the middle of the bead. When I went to corner tacks I thought it helped with starts and stop...

Thanks guys. I find that I am spending more time getting comfortable doing dry runs before i strike an arc than I am welding. By the time I feel I have a nice bead going I'm at the end.
