Start with at least a 3/4 ton truck brand of your choice. Get a Lincoln SA200 or 300D with a ditch box. A couple grinders that will run on ac and dc voltage. Milwaukee or Metabo seem to be the best quality in my opinion. And a good set of torches. Whatever brand seems to fit you liking. That will g...

What Certifications would be necessary/useful?

I'm just looking for someone with experience in the field.. Is it a good area to do welding? Or should I do welding elsewhere?

Hi Austin. Need more information What material are you welding? What polarity are you using? What size electrode (and type), and what current? Also, 'cause the flow regulator shows you a value doesn't mean that gets to the torch. If you have a leak in the system anywhere, you'll be getting less at ...

I am using a Century 110 DC buzz box. My tungsten electrodes keep burning. As far as I know I am getting plenty of shielding gas, and not running to hot.
