The EMP215 can weld hard wire MIG (GMAW) or flux cored wire (FCAW), so you'll need to set the machine's polarity to match your process. FCAW is electrode negative, GMAW is electrode positive. The owner's manual will describe how to change polarity.

Hey, welcome to the forums! The MSDS for Radnor e3 electrodes says they are ~1.5% lanthanated. I think the electrode review in that video comparison covered 1.5 lanth, if i recall correctly.

Yes, you can get an adapter to connect your argon regulator (cga 540) to a co2 bottle (cga 320). Make sure you get a nylon or teflon gasket to help seal.

I've heard the regulator may ice up at high co2 flow rates.

Reluctant to join the thread because i'm so far out of my depth. Would it be practical to add a normally closed foot switch to the ground cable? Stomp the switch to interrupt the ground, arc stops but gas keeps flowing.
