Re: Table saw cart...

Nice! I like the way you've housed the front caster and allowed it to rotate within the enclosure, and the choice of 3 contact points is great for uneven surfaces. There are 4 casters... the small section is for the saw, large end supports the extension table and will be a shelf. There will be 6 le...

Re: Mig Welding Basics part 3

Well after watching part 3 I decided to check the wire feed speed and set for a project I was working on. It was interesting to see the speeds when I was actually getting. Apparently the Hobart handler changes the base wire feed speed depending on the tap settings. "0" on tap 1 gave me 115...

Just bought a pair of Tillman 30 Pigskin to try... (This is only my 3rd pair of TIG gloves since '75 ...)
They look to be a little tougher and possibly better for radiant heat

What I would really like to see/try are some TIG gloves made with Yak or Kangaroo leather....

Gloves

Well my TIG gloves have finally seen their last arc! I seem to weld and fabricate at the same time with mine. What preferences do you have for gloves Brand, pigskin, goatskin, deerskin or cowhide? What about gloves for the 150A plus welding...things get hot (yes, I have a TIG Finger) ...I'm looking ...

Thanks,
Everything was ordered from McMaster-Carr .... probably spent $50 with a couple revisions!

Should be easy enough for the center pin, but I wanted the magnet to help keep the torch vertical that is the main reason for the needle bearing holding the torch.

Is that a ford engine table, it must be a ford engine because that is the only thing they are good for is sitting around not running   I would not desecrate my home with a Ford.... the only exception would be a vintage racing Cobra, GT-40, etc. I can't imagine relegating a Porsche 911 eng...

I would like a little more on adjusting with "Taps", My Hobart Handler 150 only has 4 Taps (18/22/25/29V) Is it more important to keep wire speed fixed and adjust taps or test taps at set speed, choose the closest fit, then further adjust wire speed??? Is using .023/.024 wire easier to fin...
