Re: Anyone make an inter-cooler?

they don't have a lot of room around the core support ....you may have to two-piece it ,or if you use one for a super-duty truck...add spacers behind the bumper, some ambulances have an add-on inter-cooler under the big step bumper (out front), you won't need that much room ,but two and a half inche...

Re: DIY Electrode Oven???

Here's a trick: If your hot water heater is in a closet, keep the rod in the closet on top of the heater. It keeps the rod dry by the same principal as the gun safe "Golden Rod" type heaters, that is by being a few degrees warmer than outside the closet, moisture is pretty much displaced....

purging takes time, time costs money, but corporations like to save money,so
you should go to PraxAir....i believe they still have a "Purity guarantee" in effect...

That looks like a piece of cast something, the way the right side looks, like it was broken off of something. Could be the problem. that's not "broken"...it's newbie torch cutting, you have got to angle into a sweep {the torch towards the end of the cut) when you cut thin metal.}...it'll m...

the best aluminum welding from the little lincoln, without a freek box (high frequency) is going to come out of a Prince spool gun or similar unit...you may need a"torpedo" box if the Amphenol plug is different but you won't need a freek box...you will need:(your lincoln ranger),pure argon...

does it have baffles inside ?
the temp outside won't affect you as much as wind.
skip weld the seams.four to six inches between starts and stops.
weld a few bungs ....1/2" female pipe...so you can flood/purge the 'toon before you weld.
now you know what i know.

Lincoln is a nice school if you are looking for a fast track course on general basics of welding. . . . I personally graduated...
