Re: rust removal on welding table top??

just ordered 2 dewalt 3" for 20 shipped seemed like a good deal. Gonna give it a go. Unfortunately my older milwakee grinder has a 1/2-13 arbor. Most are 5/8, or M10. Searched high and low for an adapter, not much luck. On the prowl for a new grinder now. Nice to have 2 anyway.

Re: rust removal on welding table top??

lots of good tips in here guys thanks. I have a flat knotted small wheel, but thats about it! Probably should invest in a cupped one anyway. They work better on flat surfaces I take it!

Re: rust removal on welding table top??

If I only had a 9" grinder. 4 1/2 is all I have hence "time consuming" aspect! Maybe I could borrow one. Cost of a 9 inch whire wheel probably more than a new sheet of steel!

rust removal on welding table top??

I have a roughly 30"x48" x1/4" piece of steel i want to use for a welding table top, it has pretty heavy surface rust, no pitting though. Wondering what the easiest way to go about getting it clean? Obviously a sanding disk would work, but very time consuming. Was thinking spraying wi...

Re: milwakee bandsaw stand!

thanks guys! If you need any measurements Chuck let me know, I would be happy to share them with you. My design changed a bunch during the build, tough to get it all straight, but i am happy with it. Wish I was in AK!! :)

Re: milwakee bandsaw stand!

sorry the pics are cut off, not sure why. Dont beat up my welds to much guys, I am a begginner. I know alot about the processes, as I have a ton more time to read than practice, but I try my best, and I try to implement the things I read into my practice. My welding has come along way. I have had we...

milwakee bandsaw stand!

I have been thinking about this project for awhile now!! Finally got it banged out! I have access to a large bandsaw at work, but it is tough for small fab, as the blade is wide and aggressive. This will be a perfect addition to the home shop. Picked the saw up off ebay for just under a benjamin! st...

Could Lurk No Longer!!

Hi there, Just wanted to take a moment to say hello. I came across this site a few years ago while doing some welding research! It has been my go to site ever since! I love Jodies vids, and the abundance of information buried in the site! I am an electrician by trade, but I love to dabble in all the...
