Re: Everlast Power Pro 256s

Thanks Artie. No worries, I wasn't insulted. Hard to know people's background in a forum. I took welding in high school and welding was my major in college. I cut my Tig welding teeth on a old Miller Syncrowave 250. These new inverter style Tig machines are new to me, especially with the bells and w...

Everlast Power Pro 256s

Hello all. I recently purchased the everlast power pro 256s. My question is this, I have a air cooled WP-17 FV Tig torch that I want to use when I don't want to use my water cooled torch. Can I hook my air cooled torch onto the stick electrode holder and use the air cooled torch with this machine?

Re: Lincoln power mig 210 MP

Honestly, now that I've thought about it, I think I would rather spend an extra $700 and get the Everlast Power Pro 256. At least with it I can tig aluminum and have a plasma cutter. Hooefully Lincoln will incorporate these two options in there next inovation!! Just my thoughts.

Lincoln power mig 210 MP

Jody, I was wondering if you were gonna make a video using the new Lincoln Power Mig 210 MP and give us a review on it, like you did with the Everlast welders, etc.

Hey everyone. Just messing around the shop and decided to make use of my old Craftsman roll away and make a new home for my Lincoln Pro Mig 180. This will also include my Everlast 256 multi process when I get it. Pretty simple idea, so check it out!

Re: welding table

Hey guys, thanks for the input. I think I'll go with the 2x2 tubing. I sat down today and figured up how I'll brace it and frame it up. 2x2 should be perfect. Where's a good place to find locking swivel casters? The kind that licks the swivel part, including the wheel. Lowes clearly does not have wh...

welding table

Hello all. I'm wanting to build a welding table. My table top will be 4' x 6' x 1/2". I'm trying to decide if 2" x 2" x 3/16" square tubing will be sufficient enough to support the wieght of the table top or if I should use a larger size tubing, like, 3" x 3" or 4"...

Re: 98/2 mixed gas

Hey Rake. Unfortunetly they're the only gas supplier here. Which really sux! I stopped by there yesterday to swap out my oxygen bottle and I asked about upgrading to a bigger bottle and if they would trade with me on my smaller bottle for a discount on the bigger bottle. They said no. Then I asked i...

Re: 98/2 mixed gas

Thanks guys. I'm sure its probably because they just choose not to carry it in smaller bottles. I just wanted to throw this out here to see if there was another reason other than that. Otto....can't say I've ever heard of or seen anyone do spray arc with 75/25. I always thought that oxygen had to be...

98/2 mixed gas

Jody, I was wanting to purchase some 98/2 gas in a 125 bottle so I could do some spray arc. My local gas and welding supplier said that they only have 98/2 in a 300 bottle. I asked why and they said that they couldn't put 98/2 in a smaller bottle and they didn't elaborate as to why. Is there a reaso...

Re: Everlast PowerPro 256s

Hey Matt, yeah I saw the same review about not flipping the switch prior to using a different function. That would suck!! Andi read about post flowing between uses on the Tig and plasma. Hopefully with enough input to Everlast, they can elevate these quirks when they update their machines when they ...

Re: Everlast PowerPro 256s

Hey Matt. Thanks for the review input and the quirk about the air/argon hook up. I'm wondering if there might be a modification that can be done to seperate the two? May be something to look into. I also liked your website and what you make with hoeseshoes! That's cool. Wish you guys the best with t...

Thanjs everyone for the input. Its greatly appreciated. Since my post, I've watched Jody's videos discussing the 256. And I've read some reviews on the machine. Re: Linccoln Pro Mig 180

So far its welding fine. I'm mainly concerned about future gas flow problems down the road. And as I said, I'm used to mig welding with slide on type nozzles. I guess I'm just gonna have to get used to not being able to adjust my nozzle. Thanks for the reply.
