I would recommend getting a 2lb spool of Forney flux-cored wire. .035 Should be around $15.... DCEN. High inductance. Smooth drag, keeping the slag and puddle the same size. Right now it's just one of the little 1lbs spools you can get from homedepot or lowes and I've ran the solid core at school with 75/25 and I can definetely tell the difference when the bottles are off porosity like no other!

I've ran a bobcat and the ranger and by far I liked the ranger just the arc and the way it welded I was far more impressed with the ranger

If you have an AC only machine or an AC DC machine can you scratch start tig on AC and weld aluminum?

ZachT - 120 is colder than I would run 1/8" 7018 on AC. If the metal is 3/16" and above I'd run about 135 amps or so. Very short arc, flux scrapes the metal lightly most of the time. I run them around 130-135 on DC as well if the metal is thick enough, and I'm not vertical up. AKweldshop ...
