Re: Food Grade Aluminum?

Aluminum is ver rarely used to food grade applicationd because of how poris of a material it is. Almost all food stuff will be 304 or 316 because it can be cleaned easily. The pores ib the alumibum will trap food particles and could lead to bacteria gtowth. Nordicware been around a long time. Lots ...

Re: Harbor Freight Inverter for Tig?

Being a hobbyist just learning I am taking the tough route learning to TIG (scratch start) on this. I limit myself to 3/32 thick material which is fine for the projects I’m conjuring up. If I didn't have NG or propane that would be a great option. -Otto, did yo...

thermal cycling on weld joint

Hey, New member questions about a burner stand for a boil pot (brewing, fish boils, etc) I'm planning. Looking at using A36 for the frame and wondering if I might have a problem with weld joint cracking because of all the thermal cycling. Is ER70S-2 the best choice for filler? Or would ER70S-6 or so...

I'm hobbyist type welder with a lot of interest in getting skilled enough with TIG (mild steel and stainless) so I can make safe and good looking welds.
