Take one of those red Harbanging Fright horizontal-vertical combos and give it a YouTube supertune and build a proper table for it. A few hundred and you're in business.

I have a Everlast 140st and im running 1/8 7018 between 95 amps to 110 and I welding vertical on 1/8 flat bar. and while Im doing my stingers what is a good amperage because I just keep burning holes in it. Stick. 225 amp. Do your studies. If you cant weld with that machine and the plethora of rods available ??? Don't move on. My user name refers to Oxy-acet torches. I can do anything with that......OK....almost. 90% of the guys here can grab a "buzz box" and the right rod(s) and solve a lot ...

Get a bottle of CO2. That machine will run fine on straight CO2 and it's cheap(er)
