welding stainless steel.

The twin turbo install I am doing requires a lot of exhaust fabricating. I have a tig welder that is also a plasma cutter. Can I use a thin steel welding wire on stainless steel? What gas mix should I use?

stainless steel exhaust pipe

The twin turbo install I am doing requires a lot of exhaust fabricating. I have a Lincoln 180C mig and it can be used with or without flux core. Is there a stainless steel flux wire? Can I use a thin steel welding wire on stainless steel? What gas mix should I use.

I just joined. You sound just like me as far as making ponies. I think I own a chunk of Summit. lol Starting to need fab work on my 02 F-150. The adjustable coilovers don't just bolt in.

Old school hot rodder

Glad I found you. Been hot rodding for many many years. Getting into a point now where fabrication is essential. There isn't bolt ins for what I want to do so it has to be welded. So I'll give all a shout out from Royal Oak, Michigan.
